2025 Summer Travel Trend Report Released: Parent child Customer Group Accounts for Over 60%

Date: 2025-06-06

Recently, Zhongxin Tourism Group released the "2025 Summer Travel Trend Report", revealing that the summer tourism market in 2025 will present three core characteristics: "parent-child leadership, deep experience, and structural upgrading". According to data from Zhongxin Tourism Retail, the number of summer travelers has increased by 70% compared to the same period last year, and the summer GMV has increased by about 80% compared to the same period last year. With visa free destinations and domestic destinations still accepting registrations, the summer tourism market in 2025 is expected to become the hottest summer season. In addition, the proportion of parent-child customers is expected to exceed 60%, becoming the main force of summer consumption and driving the summer market to shift from recovery growth to structural upgrading.

The proportion of parent-child customers exceeds 60%, and the trend of consumption upgrade is significant

According to the retail data of Zhongxin Tourism, the proportion of families with children during summer vacation is expected to reach over 60%, further increasing compared to 2024. There is a strong demand for mid to long term travel destinations among parents and children, with a significant increase in inquiries about summer study tours, study tours, and parent-child themed travel products. Parent child families are more willing to pay for "unique experiences" and "comfort", and "one price all inclusive" products have become the mainstream choice.

In response to this change, Zhongxin Tourism has launched the "Family Study Tour -12 Days in One Place in the UK" product, which not only allows children to check in at one of the top five universities in the UK, but also includes the Harry Potter themed stage play at the Harry Potter DreamWorks, visits to the Harry Potter filming location of Anik Castle and the prototype filming location of Diagon Alley, rides on the century old wooden train of Harry Potter, and other themed experiences. It also includes lectures from the British Museum and the Natural History Museum, allowing children to experience and learn in parallel, with a dual track of experience and knowledge.
